Ever since her first backpacking adventure, Augusta’s been hooked on travel. This sparked her to spend a year abroad during university, and she was lucky enough to study in Tokyo. Japan captivated her from the get-go – the intricate culture, fabulous food, and incredibly kind people (yes, it’s cliché, but it’s true!). She made the most of her time in this part of the world by travelling around Southeast Asia, too.

It felt only natural for Augusta to turn her love for Asia into a career. Over the years, she’s worked with several companies that specialise in the continent, enjoying recces to countries like Sri Lanka and India (all in the name of research, of course!). She was unexpectedly delighted by Sri Lankan spices and wowed by the wildlife. A special moment etched in her memory from India is boating on the sacred Narmada river as the sun cast its golden glow over the glassy water. All while the evening spiritual activities unfolded along the ghats of Maheshwar and chanting reverberated in the air around her. Just magic.

At ETG, Augusta’s found her niche. She combines her love of travel and storytelling by writing ETG’s blog and newsletter, making sure that every piece reflects our ethos of immersive, meaningful travel. She also collaborates closely with the Travel Team to share their expertise and update our branded content – like our Country Guides – in order to bring to life the unique experiences ETG offers to curious travellers like you.
