On Peninsula Malaysia’s east coast near Kuala Terengganu, this is a truly beautiful area: the beach is secluded and lovely for swimming and the surrounding jungle is lush and verdant. There are two pools, and couples will be happy to learn that one is reserved exclusively for adults. The hotel organises some very special excursions, including a waterfall trek, bike tours, a world-class cooking school and market tour with the chef, jungle cruises, boat cruises, and diving and snorkelling on Pulau Tenggol. From May to September you can witness turtles hatching on the beach.
Choose from a variety of rooms, many with verandahs and sea views, some with outdoor baths, tropical gardens, or beachfront positioning. The Bumbung Sea View rooms are large and elegant with spectacular views of the South China Sea.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
