DAY 1 DEPART THE UK

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Bangkok.

DAY 2 - 4 BANGKOK BEYOND THE TOURIST TRAIL

On arrival in Bangkok, your guide and driver will welcome you and take you to your high-end hotel: a quiet haven in the heart of the city, in a fantastic riverside location.

Once settled in, go on a guided walking experience through labyrinthine alleyways and traditional shophouses. Following this immersive stroll, hop aboard a tuk-tuk to explore the city’s ancient temples and vibrant markets.

Crossing the river, you’ll discover the enchanting enclave of Kudijeen, characterised by its Portuguese influence, featuring a charming Catholic church and well-preserved teak dwellings dating back centuries. Afterwards, they set off on a boat journey along narrow canals to reach a hidden restaurant, where a delectable lunch from their own organic garden awaits.

DAYS 5 - 7 CHIANG MAI CULTURAL, COUNTRYSIDE ADVENTURE

Today, you'll take a one-hour flight (or overnight train) to Chiang Mai. On arrival, you’ll be driven to your hotel, a lovely property in a tranquil location on the outskirts of the city on the banks of the Ping River.

During your stay, you’ll delve into the rich history and cultural significance of the city's temples with your guide, and marvel at the intricate decorations and ancient Buddhist iconography. Amid the backdrop of locals engaging in their daily prayers, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual essence that permeates this city.

Venture into the surrounding hills on an excursion to an ethical elephant sanctuary. Meet the sanctuary’s gentle giants and the dedicated caretakers who tend to their well-being. In a country where elephants have historically faced exploitation, these sanctuaries provide refuge and rehabilitation. Through an immersive, hands-off experience, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the unique personalities and intricate social dynamics of Thai elephants.

DAYS 8-12 BEACH TIME

Hop on a direct flight from Chiang Mai to Koh Samui. Here, you'll stay in a villa at a lovely spot in Choengmon. Sitting on the island's north-east coast, the area is close enough to the action but far enough away for plenty of peace and relaxation. If you prefer to keep active, there's lots to do nearby and a whole array of places to eat out on the island.
