The location of this lodge is truly spectacular. In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by farming landscapes and with a mountainous backdrop, it is a peaceful, unique location far from the tourist trail.
The beautiful wooden architecture and thatched roofs blend with the landscape, in keeping with the eco-friendly ethos. Each villa is two-storey and extremely spacious, with a pool in a private courtyard, copper bathtubs to soak in and wooden furnishings. The verandah provides a particularly lovely spot to sit and take in your scenic surroundings. The chef aims to please and suggests dishes for you to try, providing with you a delicious, authentic spread each day.
The property sits at the foot of a mountain, the other side of which is a tiger and elephant corridor (we don't advise going looking for these neighbours!). During your stay, you can explore the property and its surroundings, visit the small temples and spot goats with their tinkling bells being herded home.
This is not a place that many tourists reach. It's a special hidden gem that will provide a memorable point in your South India holiday. Highly recommended for travellers who are after a unique spot in which to unwind and enjoy nature and its simplicities.
