DAY 1 – DEPART THE UK

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Java.

DAYS 2 & 3 YOGYAKARTA - JAVA

Upon arrival in Yogyakarta, your designated driver-guide will be awaiting you for a transfer to your accommodation. Take the remainder of the day to unwind following your flight.

Embark on a cultural exploration of Yogyakarta on your first full day in Indonesia. Highlights include a visit to the Kraton, the traditional residence of the sultan, and the awe-inspiring tenth-century Hindu temple, Prambanan. As the day draws to a close, witness the striking silhouette of the temple against the backdrop of a colourful sky,

DAYS 4 & 5 BOROBUDUR - JAVA

A short drive from Yogyakarta brings you to Borobudur. Opting to stay near the temple allows ample time over two days to fully appreciate its grandeur, particularly during sunset and sunrise.

Rise early on day five for a climb to the pinnacle of Borobudur, where you'll be greeted by the breathtaking sunrise over the surrounding volcanoes and lush landscapes. Dating back to the 8th century, Borobudur is adorned with intricately sculpted reliefs depicting the life of Buddha and key Buddhist principles. Following your temple visit, you have the option to relax at the hotel or explore the surrounding area.

DAY 6-8 ADVENTURES IN THE HEART OF BALI - TABANAN

Arrive in Bali and immerse yourself in the island's natural splendour. Set amidst clove and mangosteen trees, your villa boasts panoramic views of rice terraces and verdant forests. Engage in a waterfall excursion and relish a home-cooked lunch at Putu Griya House. Deepen your understanding of Balinese culture through trekking and ceremonial experiences.

DAY 9-11 CUSTOMS AND RITUALS IN THE PADDY FIELDS - UBUD

Transfer to the enchanting Wapa Di Ume near Ubud.

Embark on a private countryside walk led by a Balinese Brahmin, gaining insights into nature, religion, and local customs. Traverse through paddy fields, visit quaint villages, and learn about the intricate rituals interwoven with daily life. Conclude the walk at the guide’s residence with a traditional lunch and a Balinese blessing.

Adventure seekers could opt for white-water rafting or discover Sebatu village on a cycling tour, complete with a delightful picnic lunch. Unwind amidst the serene surroundings of Wapa Di Ume, surrounded by lush landscapes and the cultural richness of Ubud.

DAY 12-15 BEACH TIME ON LOMBOK

Travel by road (approximately 1 hour) to Padang Bai Harbour, where a speedboat awaits to transport you to the captivating island of Lombok. Spend the next four nights indulging in the charm of Lombok in a spacious 2-bedroom pool suite. Whether lounging by the pool or exploring the island's pristine beaches and vibrant culture, savour the tranquillity at your own pace.
