This hotel offers spacious and comfortable accommodation on the shores of Kandawgyi Lake in an excellent location that is only a 10-15 ride from the city centre and overlooks the impressive Shwedagon Pagoda.
The grounds are green and tidy, with a good L-shaped swimming pool fringed with palm trees. Dine inside or out, overlooking the pool or in one of the smart restaurants with a variety of cuisine on offer, including Japanese, Chinese and international. Rooms have either lake or pagoda views, and we certainly recommend the pagoda view! All rooms have large windows, good quality furnishings and clean, comfortable beds.
Other facilities include an ATM, Wifi and a relaxing spa. Whilst it may look like a nondescript business hotel from the outside, furnishings inside this hotel are surprisingly warm and boutique with wood, silk and Burmese art. A reliable choice that is both good value and very comfortable for a stay in Yangon.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
