Riverside @ Hsipaw Resort is one of the newer establishments in the Old Hsipaw Shan Village on the Doktawady River’s tranquil eastern bank. Each room faces the river and offers guests fabulous views and a lovely warm atmosphere. You can expect spacious rooms, friendly staff and tasty cuisine.

Hsipaw is a prime cycling and trekking destination, well-loved for its wonderful lush scenery, waterfalls, rivers, hot springs, tea plantations and fascinating tribal villages. Choose easy or challenging terrain and stay for a half-day or several days. There is something for every level of fitness and adventure tolerance. Once you’re back from a day of trekking, relax in the gardens, grab a sundowner at the bar, dine at the restaurant or just take in the river views. There are 20 rooms in total, and all of them are large (40m2), supremely comfortable, clean and modern with truly luxurious showers and cosy beds. You’ll find modern and functional air-conditioning in all of them.

Keep in mind that your arrival and departure are limited to the ferry, so you can only access the other side of the river between 7 am and 10 pm. You might also feel a bit isolated, watching the town from the other side of the river.
