As well as being a spectacular area filled with nature and wildlife, Kanchanaburi played a significant part in the events of World War 2. The construction of what is now known as the Death Railway was a brutal mission which cost the lives of many POWs. This historical tour will give visitors an education on the events by walking through the infamous Hellfire Pass and adjoining information centre, taking a train ride on the railway itself with spectacular views of the canyon and river, and visiting the War Museum and POW cemetery in Kanchanaburi Town.
