On either side of the outcrop stretches two long, unspoilt beaches, ensuring a spectacular sea view from everywhere in this luxury hotel. The 27 suites are large and spacious and built in a graceful Sri Lankan style, with lovely open bathrooms. An infinity pool gazes gently out to sea while sea breezes cool the secluded diners in the open restaurant on the head of the rock. Other dining areas, including one in a tranquil water garden, allow complete privacy for guests.
The service is attentive, and the food is as excellent as expected from a hotel of this level. The rooms vary in size depending on the price, and all rooms come with private plunge pools. There is also a villa available for families or groups of friends. The hotel is in a quiet fishing village a few kilometres south of Bentota, ensuring empty beaches and peaceful walks. The coast offers excellent swimming between November and March and picture-postcard sunsets almost every day.
